Back in PI I live in the city 99.99% of my life and that means since conception - birth - till 38 years of age. So since I live basically my entire life in the city I don’t have the luxury of having a frontyard, sideyard and backyard hehehe. Here is the scenario of our house in the city my frontyard is just ( I guess) 5 meters from the road, our side yard is 1 meter apart from the next house and the backyard is already the school building hehe. But I was happy then I used to the hassle and buzzle of the city life.

When I came here in US I was like oh okay this is it. Where is the bus or a taxi so I can go to the city proper hahahahaha! My hubby has a 10 acre property, plus my mom in laws 17 acres and step sons 10 acres of land. With that huge property I have the opportunity to notice some animals, birds, flowers and berries that I don’t see in PI. Thankfully, I am a nature lover and I love my new place.

So with the nature around me, I happened to watch things that I couldn’t watch or experience in the city. Like:

1. I was in the dining table as I looked outside through the sliding door. I happened to see two birds flying so fast down from the willow tree. They literally came from above flying down to the ground and flew back up. What followed them is the small squirrel. The little squirrel chased the two blue jays hehe. And as the squirrel reached the ground the blue jays went back to chase the squirrel. And the squirrel runs as fast as he could because the two blue jays is at his back chasing him hahaha. I couldn’t help but giggle at what I saw I felt a good and positive chemical came out from my body because I was so amused by what I saw. Hahaha! I went out and shout run for your life squirrel!! While trying to see what already happened to them up there in the willow tree.

P.s.

I noticed that blue jays are a bit mean to some birds specially the little ones. And they are mean to squirrel too. I guess I will call them bully blue jays.

2. I was in the living room watching tv. When all of a sudden I heard a loud thump I felt the mirror will break. It was so loud I thought somebody throw a rock on our window. So I get up and looked outside I saw a dizzy bird hahahahha!! I was really laughing so hard but I also pity him. I looked up the tree and there was the bird still trying to figure it out what happened to him hahaha.

3. I was walking going to the old barn when I happened to see one of our stray “adopted” cat. As I was approaching him he didn’t move a bit that infact they used to run when we tried to approach them. But this time it was some kind of different, so I thought hmmm something is wrong here. He seems like guarding something!! And I was not wrong close to the cat is a thing that I don’t know what was that. So I shoved the cat and looked closer to the animal that is lying there. The cat didn’t moved a bit but I still do continue what I had to do. When all of a sudden it moved and heck I jump on my ground hahaha! I was so quick to jump out while the cat jump right back to his captive chipmunk. Yes it was my first time to see in person a chipmunk. He was dead the second time the cat jump back at him. He never move again when I tried to pick him up with a stick. RIP! But it makes me giggle and a minute of thrill.

4. One time hubby saw Mr. woodchuck close to the barn and he was seated on an old truck top. Woodchuck is a pain in the butt. In the field they make so many holes and they push the ground that later on the field will become bumpy. So hubby went to the house and got his rifle. He aimed the rifle to the woodchuck and shot him. He was not hit but it hit to the iron top and it created a big ping sound. The woodchuck just jump and he never bother to look around or care at all . I don’t know if he is clueless or what that he is in the verge of life and death then hehe. Until hubby and I were just giggling because he just jump up and down every time he heard the sound and it amuses us.

5. I am a tree lover and I don’t like to see a tree being cut. But we have this tree close to the house that need to be trim down. While hubby and his son cut some branches of the tree all of a sudden heads came out from inside of the tree! It’s the whole family of the squirrel. We were surprised to see the event they took off like they were so afraid. I feel so sad watching them evicted from their single family home.
